Job description

Join a team of professionals

As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, set-up, and utilization of 5-axis lathe machines, along with supporting processes in prototyping and production of machined products.

Build with Us by:

• Performing set-up and operation of 5-axis lathe machines, inspecting finish tools.
• Performing basic TruePath and/or Mastercam operations.
• Advising and consulting with product development engineers, programmers, and tooling departments on cutting tools and tooling requirements.
• Maintaining fixtures and set-ups for specific projects as assigned by engineers or supervisors.
• Monitoring machine performance, reporting issues promptly, and collaborating with maintenance to resolve problems.
• Inspecting and documenting operations according to the Quality Manual and project requirements.
• Performing daily maintenance on machines.
• Supporting shop efficiency by maintaining a clean and safe work environment, reporting hazards, and coordinating with colleagues on shared equipment.
• Performing additional duties as necessary.

Bring Your Expertise:

• High school diploma or GED; an Associate's Degree or approved apprenticeship in machining is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as a CNC Mill and/or Lathe operator with basic set-up skills.
• Basic understanding of trigonometry.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and ERP software (Epicor preferred).
• Knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y 14.5 standards.
• Experience with blueprint reading and metrology tools.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
