Tesker Manufacturing Corporation in Saukville, WI is seeking a Machinist – Grinder Support for our second-shift manufacturing team. The role focuses on finishing tapering operations on thread rolling dies, supporting CNC thread grinding operators.

The position is full-time on a 3-day weekend schedule with three 12-hour days and a short Thursday, offering growth within machining operations. Experience with Bridgeport mills or engine lathe is preferred; thread grinding experience is not required.

Formación

• Previous machine shop experience preferred.
• Experience with Bridgeport mills and/or engine lathes preferred.
• Previous thread grinding experience not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand machining dimensions and tolerances.
• Familiarity with micrometers and calipers.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
• Dependable and comfortable with a second-shift schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Operate Bridgeport mills and engine lathes to perform the final tapering operation on workpieces after grinding operations.
• Remove completed dies from tooling and arbors so they can be returned to the grinding department for upcoming jobs.
• Provide ongoing machining and setup support to CNC thread grinding operators.
• Set up and adjust manual machine tools for close-tolerance work.
• Properly select, prepare, and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
• Read and work from blueprints, routings, process sheets, and job instructions.
• Inspect completed work to verify dimensions and quality requirements.
• Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Maintain an organized workflow to help keep the grinding department supplied with available tooling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
