Job summary

Waukesha-Pearce Industries, LLC is seeking a Machinist to program, set up, adjust and operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes and milling centers, to produce parts per drawings and specs.

Responsibilities include studying blueprints, preparing inspection tools, documenting quality control, and maintaining a safe, organized work area while performing manual and CNC machining under supervision. Typical hours follow a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• G.E.D. or High School Diploma required.
• Knowledge of machining practices and techniques.
• Basic mechanical principles.
• Shop mathematics.
• Blueprint reading.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform medium to heavy lifting.
• Knowledge of CNC controls.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Knowledge of precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawing and specifications.
• Set-up bore gauges and other inspection equipment.
• Complete all required paperwork including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movement.
• Work safely and maintain the work area with high standards of housekeeping.
• Performs required Preventative Maintenance activities on machinery and/or equipment operated.
• Performs manual machining and CNC machining under the direction of Machinist Journeyman or Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervision.
