Job summary

WPI in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Machinist to program, set up, adjust, and operate manual and CNC centers, lathes, and milling machines according to prescribed procedures.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing inspections, maintaining a clean, safe workspace, and contributing to preventive maintenance. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; weekend hours as necessary. WPI is an EEO/AA institution.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machining practices and techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Stands for long periods and lifts up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
• Set up bore gauges and other inspection equipment.
• Operate manual and CNC machines under supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Document quality control and material movement.
