Qualifications

• Two years of related machining experience.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
• Ability to apply lean initiatives in daily work.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication; team oriented.
• Ability to interpret reports and use job-specific software (PMR, TORS, email).
• Engages in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and runs production machines; performs cutting, shaping, deburring, drilling and other steps per plan.
• Performs precision operations like tapping, counterbores, chamfering to tight tolerances.
• Aligns and fastens parts with fixtures and established methods.
• Adjusts feeds, speeds and depth of cut to meet quality standards.
• Removes burrs and surface imperfections on machined parts.
• Inspects parts using gauges and magnification equipment for conformance.
• Maintains clean, reliable equipment and adheres to SPC requirements.
• Participates in lean initiatives and suggests improvements.
• Follows safety rules and maintains orderly work area.
• Performs other related responsibilities as required.
• Supports continuous improvement activities.
