Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation, a Fortune 250 leader in motion and control technologies, is seeking a Machinist A for its MFCD team in Dublin, GA. You will operate multiple machines, read blueprints, and support lean initiatives to boost productivity.

The role emphasizes precision, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards. You will contribute to manufacturing excellence and may participate in continuous improvement projects across the division.

Qualifications

• Two years related machining experience.
• Able to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Has working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, may include trigonometry.
• Effectively applies lean initiatives.
• Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
• Interprets reports and uses job specific software applications. Able to use employee self‑service systems to access on‑line information and use specialized automated systems (PMR, TORS).
• Effectively demonstrates team member competencies and participates in goal setting, performance feedback, and self‑development activities.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and runs production machines; performs pre‑planned operation sequence and checks function.
• Performs precision operations like tapping, spot‑facing, chamfering, countersinking, counterboring.
• Aligns and fastens parts using fixtures and established methods.
• Adjusts feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to produce quality parts.
• Removes burrs and surface defects, inspecting for quality.
• Inspects parts using gauges and magnification; ensures conformance to specs.
• Maintains equipment and performs SPC as required.
• Participates in lean initiatives and applies lean tools in the area.
• Follows safety rules and keeps a clean work area.
• Performs other related duties as needed.
