Job Description

Operates and sets up conventional, numerical control (NC), and special purpose machines and machining centers to produce steel and brass components. This is a 1st Shift position working from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering $26.90 to $29.00 per hour, DOE.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment, following all safety regulations.
• Follow standard work procedures, control plans, processes, and quality guidelines.
• Operate multiple machines and perform Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities.
• Verify machine cycle times and ensure proper operation.
• Set up machines with appropriate fixtures, tools, and materials.
• Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions, and make adjustments.
• Diagnose and resolve machine issues, ensuring finished work meets specifications.
• Prioritize tasks, make timely decisions, and support continuous improvement.
• Support team collaboration and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Possess necessary personal tools and instruct others as needed.

Background & Skills

Education & Experience: High school diploma/GED or 1-3 years related experience.

Language Skills: Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and instructions.

Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic with measurements.

Reasoning Ability: Apply logic and understanding to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

Regular standing, walking, manual handling, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Work near moving parts and exposure to fumes, chemicals, and loud noise.
