JOB REQUIREMENTS: Machinist II is responsible for the manufacture of parts per print specifications in an accurate and timely manner, utilizing manual and CNC machine centers. They may also make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

1. Program, set up, and operate various machine tools to produce parts according to specifications. Check all diameters and dimensions.
2. Study blueprints and plan efficient manufacturing processes.
3. Use overhead cranes to lift large parts or materials safely.
4. Measure parts with precision measuring equipment.
5. Maintain machine shop equipment.
6. Train other workers on proper and safe operation of equipment.
7. Collaborate with team members to develop solutions proactively.
8. Perform machine maintenance and assist in establishing procedures for efficient manufacturing.
9. Deburr parts as time permits.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of machinist experience.
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and geometry; ability to perform metric conversions.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong knowledge of Mazatrol or other machine software.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings.

Physical Requirements:

• Use of safety glasses and safety shoes in production areas.
• Regularly walk, stand, use hands, and operate machinery.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Specific vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
