Job summary

Dextech is hiring Machining Trainees for the Heading and Thread Rolling Departments in Dexter, MI. These are second-shift roles with training on the first shift, in a seasonally temperate shop environment.

You will set up and operate machinery, perform tool changes, and conduct quality checks while supporting material handling and 5S practices. Starting pay is $20 per hour with a $0.50 increase every 90 days until reaching the top rate for the department, plus extensive medical, dental, vision

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to understand and interpret shop math.
• Safety-conscious mindset and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility with shift assignments and overtime.
• Reliability and a desire for a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery for fastener production.
• Perform tool and die changes.
• Perform oil changes.
• In-process quality checks per customer requirements.
• Operate hi-lo equipment for material handling.
• Follow 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized workspace.
