Job summary

Dextech is hiring Machining Trainees for the Heading and Thread Rolling Departments in Dexter, MI. These are second-shift roles with training on the first shift, in a seasonally temperate shop environment.

You will set up and operate machinery, perform tool changes, and conduct quality checks while supporting material handling and 5S practices. Starting pay is $20 per hour with a $0.50 increase every 90 days until reaching the top rate for the department, plus extensive medical, dental, vision

We are seeking entry-level candidates with strong mechanical skills, a willingness to grow, and excellent attendance.These are second-shift positions, though training is typically completed on the first shift. Please note that the manufacturing environment is subject to seasonal temperature changes, where it can be hot during the summer months and cooler during the winter months.Primary responsibilities include:Setting up and operating machinery for fastener production (with a focus on safety, quality, and production)Perform tool and die changes.Perform oil changes.Perform in process quality checks to ensure compliance with customer requirements.Operate hi-lo equipment to assist with material handling.Follow 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized, efficient working environment.Growth & Advancement:Dextech offers competitive pay starting at $20 per hour for these roles.
