Job summary

Dextech is hiring Machining Trainees for 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm) in Dexter, MI. Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical skills and good attendance are encouraged to apply. Training starts on first shift with transition to the second shift after onboarding.

Primary responsibilities include setup and operation of fastener production machinery, tool/die changes, and quality checks. Company offers medical/dental/vision benefits and a 401(k) plan, with wage progression starting at $20/hour

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to understand and interpret shop math.
• Safety-conscious mindset and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility with shift assignments and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery for fastener production with focus on safety, quality, and production.
• Perform tool and die changes.
• Perform oil changes.
• Conduct in-process quality checks to meet customer requirements.
• Operate hi-lo equipment for material handling.
• Follow 5S principles to keep a clean, organized, efficient workspace.
