Dextech in Dexter, MI is seeking Maintenance Technicians for the second shift to support repair and preventive maintenance on cold heading and forming machinery. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and help minimize downtime to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial machinery.
Proficiency with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience in welding, machining, or fabrication is preferred.
Good problem-solving and preventive maintenance focus.

Responsibilities

Weld and fabricate machine tools as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on cold heading and related machines.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with appropriate tools.
Rebuild and align transfer mechanisms, dies, and feeders.
Read mechanical drawings and manuals; support changeovers and setup optimization.
Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and parts usage documentation.
Collaborate with operators and supervisors to identify root causes of failures.
Ensure safety, quality, and production standards are met; follow 5S principles.
