Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a skilled machinist in Waco, TX to operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders. You will collaborate with operators and engineering to modify tooling and ensure quality while following safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of tool experience, can read blueprints, and uses precision gauges. This on-site role emphasizes clean work areas, accurate reporting, and adherence to ITAR-related requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience utilizing machine tools to perform precision metal cutting operations; this may include Technical school education
• Technical school education in machining, preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and sketches
• Must be able to read gages, micrometers, scales, calipers and related precision measuring equipment

Responsibilities

• Maintains full compliance and conducts all activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.
