Job summary

McGard LLC is seeking a Machining Operations Supervisor for the 1st shift (6:30 AM–3:00 PM, Mon–Fri). This salaried role offers $70,000–$110,000 annually DOE and leads production in a precision manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will supervise daily activities, mentor leads, and drive continuous improvement in machining efficiency, with a focus on cycle time and setup time reduction, tool life, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Requires clear English communication in writing and speech.
• HS diploma or GED required; Engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years relevant experience.
• Positive attitude with customer, vendor, and coworker interaction.
• Strong understanding of machining techniques and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities and maintain daily contact with employees to ensure efficient operation of production equipment.
• Conduct interviews as needed and train Lead personnel for independent work in cycle time and setup time reduction, tool usage, and accountability.
• Develop machining principles and review department schedules with management to improve productivity.
• Track orders through the blanking schedule and coordinate with other departments for machine delivery and status communication.
• Maintain time/attendance systems, discipline where needed, and annual updates of work instructions.
