Job summary

McGard LLC in Orchard Park, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for 1st shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Mon-Fri). The role leads shift operations, develops hourly associates, and drives improvements in setup times and production flow.

You will collaborate with Maintenance and Tool Room, manage personnel, and contribute to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment while supporting the Production Manager and other supervisors.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with minimum 3 years' work experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision and leadership to shift operations through the planning, organization and direction of resources.
• Maintain the smooth and timely flow of plant production ensuring quality product.
• Coach, develop, and support hourly associates.
• Improve setup and cycle times while instilling a continuous improvement philosophy.
• Work with employees on day-to-day problems and reassign personnel as needed.
• Motivate employees through effective communication and meet with leadership to align needs.
