McGard LLC in Orchard Park, NY is seeking a Machining Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day production and drive efficiency. You will oversee staff, monitor performance, and coordinate with tooling for optimal scheduling and lead times.

The role requires strong machining knowledge, five years of experience, and a focus on continuous improvement within a collaborative team environment.

Formación

• Minimum five (5) years relevant experience required.
• High school diploma or GED is required; B.S. in Mechanical/Manufacturing Eng preferred.
• Excellent understanding of machining techniques.
• Strong commitment to continuous improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere and teamwork orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise day-to-day production activities and staff; maintain daily contact with employees.
• Instruct and train leads to improve cycle time, setup time, and tool management.
• Develop departmental graphs for weekly reviews on machine utilization.
• Coordinate with tooling engineer to plan schedules and lead times.
• Ensure proper machine maintenance and vendor coordination.
• Manage department budget and monitor spending per plan.
• Handle paperwork for machines/equipment purchases and approvals.
