Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando is seeking a manufacturing engineer to develop and implement processes, layouts, and equipment installations for assemblies and material handling.

This role drives adoption of automation and digital work instructions, analyzes 3D model data, and leverages IoT-enabled tools to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.

Candidates should hold a mechanical/manufacturing engineering degree and demonstrate CAD experience and CNC exposure; Lean Six Sigma is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Familiarity with CAD software (Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer or Solidworks).
• Experience with CNC machines, mills, or lathes through internships or University work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.).
• Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
• Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
