Job summary

Astemo Rock Spring, Inc. in Rock Spring, GA is seeking a Machining Maintenance Technician to keep our machining equipment running reliably across three shifts. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of continuous improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, accurate record-keeping, and strict safety adherence to minimize downtime and extend equipment life in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in a machining environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of machining processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance activities on machining equipment, following established schedules and procedures to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and calibration, to maintain equipment reliability and extend machine life.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, utilizing your technical acumen to identify and implement effective solutions.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, performing repairs and adjustments as needed.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, procedures, and lockout/tagout protocols during all maintenance activities, promoting a safe work environment within the Machining department.
• Complete maintenance documentation, including work orders, equipment records, and repair logs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Coordinate equipment setup and changeovers, working closely with production teams to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, providing suggestions for process enhancements and participating in projects to optimize equipment performance.
• Stay updated on new technologies, best practices, and industry trends in machining maintenance through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
