Job summary

Qualified Professional and Technical is seeking a Shift Supervisor (Machining) in Macomb, MI. This role oversees CNC operators, coordinates training, and drives continuous improvement on the shop floor.

You will lead production activities, edit or write CNC programs, troubleshoot PLCs, ensure safety and quality, and interact with customers and vendors. This is a direct-hire position with hourly pay of $30–$35.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC manufacturing with lead responsibilities.
• High school diploma required; higher cert preferred.
• Strong leadership and training abilities.
• CNC & PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and team-building skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Schedule operators, place jobs, and coordinate training.
• Develop and implement work instructions to improve training.
• Maintain throughput at standard rates and ensure quality per customer specs.
• Maintain shop floor safety and housekeeping.
• Troubleshoot tooling/process issues to reduce downtime and drive improvements.
• Perform production set-ups and changeovers.
• Edit CNC programs and/or write programs.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, wire equipment, PLC implementation and program management.
• Ensure compliance with MPM policies.
• Provide feedback and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Interact with customers, suppliers and vendors.
• Contribute to job bid evaluations and performance evaluations.
• Follow MPM housekeeping, safety and environmental policies.
• Participate in safety, productivity, quality improvements.
• Other duties as defined by your supervisor.

SHIFT SUPERVISOR (Machining)Direct HireMacomb, MIHours: 5:45am – 4:30pm, M-F, Saturdays & Sundays as scheduled$30-35/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for scheduling operators job placements and coordinating training.
• Participate in the development and implementation of work instructions to improve training.
• Through put (running to standard rates) & Quality (compliance with all customer specifications)
• Maintain safety and housekeeping of shop floor
• Analyze, investigate and provide guidance on troubleshooting tooling and process concerns to reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement.
• Perform production set-ups, changeovers and repair maintenance activities.
• Edit CNC programs and/or write programs.
• If capable or directed, troubleshoot electrical problems, wire equipment, do PLC implementation and program management
• Ensure compliance by all employees with MPM policies and procedures
• Responsible to provide employee positive feedback and disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Interaction with customers, suppliers and vendors as needed.
• Responsible for complete evaluation criteria for job bids and performance evaluations
• Comply and participate in MPM housekeeping, safety and environmental policies.
• Follow Housekeeping, Safety (lockout/tagout) & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)
• Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping
• Other duties as defined by your supervisor
