Job summary

Greater Green Bay Chamber is seeking a skilled assembler/machinery technician in Marinette, Wisconsin to install, assemble, and align heavy equipment using hand and power tools. The role involves reading blueprints, rigging, and testing units during installation.

You will work as part of a team across shifts, lift up to 50 lb, and adapt to heights and confined spaces. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US and meet the listed physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install machinery using hammers, wrenches, and other hand tools.

• Level bedplates and establish centerlines using precision tools.

• Repair and lubricate machines and adjust alignments as needed.

Job description

Qualifications, Duties, and Responsibilities:
1. Install machinery using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
2. Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
3. Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
4. Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation site, usually performing installation and maintenance work as part of a team.
5. Construct foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and Install robot and modify its program, using teach pendant. Shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment.
6. Level bedplate and establish centerline, using straightedge, levels, and Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
7. Lay out mounting holes, using measuring instruments, and drill holes with power drill.
8. Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, using blueprints and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures.
9. Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts. Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
10. Signal crane operator to lower basic assembly units to bedplate and align unit to centerline.
11. Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
12. Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools. Bolt parts, such as side and deck plates, jaw plates, and journals, to basic assembly unit.

* Must be available to work all 3 shifts as required.

• A shift Monday thru Thursday 5:00am-3:00pm
• B Shift Monday thru Thursday 4:00pm-2:00am
• C Shift Friday thru Sunday 5:00am--5:00pm
• D Shift Friday thru Sunday 5:00pm--5:00am
