Responsibilities

• Install machinery using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
• Assemble machines and bolt, weld, rivet, or fasten them to foundations or structures using hand and power tools.
• Move machinery and equipment with hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Dismantle machinery for shipment to installation site; typically work as part of a team.
• Construct foundations for machines using wood, cement, and other building materials; install and modify robot programs with teach pendant.
• Level bedplates and establish centerlines; insert shims and adjust nuts/bolts to set clearances.
• Lay out mounting holes with measuring tools and drill holes with a power drill.
• Position steel beams to support bedplates per blueprints and schematics.
• Connect power units to machines or piping; test and troubleshoot units; replace parts and lubricate.
• Signal crane operators to move assemblies and align units; align machines using precision tools.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, and measurement tools; attach moving parts to basic assemblies.
• Assemble and install equipment; bolt components to basic assembly units.

Qualifications, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• 1. Install machinery using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.

• 3. Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• 4. Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation site, usually performing installation and maintenance work as part of a team.
