Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies are seeking interns for our Machinery and Equipment department across field locations. The role offers Summer 2027 experience with on-site work and exposure to equipment coverage, risk evaluation, and claims support.

Candidates must be enrolled full-time (undergrad or master's), with transcripts, a 3.0+ GPA, and ability to travel to Fairfield, OH. Compensation starts at $20 per hour, based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student (junior/senior) or master's level.
• All majors welcome; electrical/mechanical/technical engineering backgrounds preferred.
• Transcripts required (unofficial acceptable) and good academic standing (GPA 3.0+).
• Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week and travel to HQ in Fairfield, OH.

Responsibilities

• Understand equipment breakdown coverage within insurance and how we serve our customers.
• Engage with different departments to understand our corporate structure and goals.
• Demonstrate strong math and written communication skills in a team setting.
• Contribute to projects that improve equipment breakdown coverage and operations.
• Observe on-site boiler and pressure vessel inspections and risk evaluations.
