Job summary

Aerotek in Caledonia, MN is hiring a Machine Welder to set up and operate orbital welding equipment in a steel fabrication environment. You will receive full training and work with engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality welds.

This contract-to-hire role offers first shift hours, a safety-focused culture, and opportunities to advance to skilled orbital welder and fabrication technician roles; overtime optional and weekly pay.

You will receive full training in orbital welding processes and work closely with engineers, technicians, and teammates to ensure high-quality welds that meet company and industry standards. The position emphasizes safety, precision, teamwork, and continuous learning, with clear opportunities for advancement into more skilled fabrication roles.

Responsibilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with tools, blueprints, or automated equipment is an advantage.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing and fabrication facility with a focus on steel welding and orbital welding technology. Typical hours are on first shift, either 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday or 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, providing a consistent four-day workweek. Overtime is voluntary on Fridays, offering flexibility for additional earnings or time off. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with an expectation of maintaining a clean, organized workspace and using precision tools and equipment. You work closely with engineers, technicians, and production teammates in a collaborative setting that emphasizes quality, reliability, and professional conduct.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caledonia, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
