Job summary

OPT Machine Vision is seeking a motivated Application & Sales Engineer to join our North America team. You will bridge customer applications with OPT’s machine vision solutions to solve real-world inspection and automation challenges.

You’ll work with customers, sales, and engineering to evaluate applications, conduct feasibility testing, and support project implementation. Training is provided, and prior machine vision experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering/Science, Physics, Robotics or related field.
• 0–3 years of engineering, automation, machine vision, robotics, or related experience.
• Internship or project experience in imaging, automation, robotics, manufacturing or industrial systems is valued.
• Strong fundamentals and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Understand inspection requirements and automation objectives with customers.
• Analyze applications and identify machine vision solutions.
• Collaborate with sales to develop tailored vision solutions.
• Support installation, startup, and customer training.
