Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College is seeking part-time faculty to teach conventional machining and CNC machining setup in a laboratory setting. You will manage classrooms, develop curricula, and engage with local industry partners while supporting student success.

The role is 0.5 FTE with varying weekly hours; starts when needed in a thriving manufacturing pathway. MATC offers comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have Wisconsin Registered Apprenticeship in Machine Tool or Tool & Die.
• Must meet Wisconsin State Apprenticeship standards in Machine Tool/Tool & Die.
• 5 years (10,000 hours) of work in Machine Tool; plus recent teaching or recent industry experience as specified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and perform teaching-related activities.
• Manage the classroom/laboratory.
• Develop curriculum and monitor and revise as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness.
• Assess student performance and advise students on academic issues.
• Promote the education/training program and recruit/retain students.
• Develop relationships with business and industry.
• Complete program evaluation and follow-up.
