Cartamundi is seeking a MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV 3 for the East Longmeadow, MA facility. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a range of manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous production.

Responsibilities include documenting maintenance activities, working with production teams, and adhering to safety protocols on 2nd and 3rd shifts in a 24/7 operation. A technical background and CMMS familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance.
• Basic welding or fabrication skills.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex machine problems and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and perform timely repairs.
• Collaborate with production staff to resolve equipment malfunctions affecting manufacturing processes.

MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV 3 Full Time Direct Labor East Longmeadow, MA, US

MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV 3 -will be responsible for plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment during non-daytime hours. This position focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of machines to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. The MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV 3 will collaborate closely with production teams to quickly address mechanical issues and support continuous manufacturing processes. Safety awareness is critical to ensure compliance with workplace regulations and to maintain a hazard-free environment during all shifts.

What you’ll do as a MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV 3:

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot more complex machine problems Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using appropriate tools and techniques, and execute timely repairs. Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions that impact manufacturing processes. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational transparency and compliance. Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and company policies to promote a safe and efficient work environment during 2nd and 3rd shifts.

We’re looking for a MACHINE TECHNICIAN LEV 3 with:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial machinery.
• knowledge of electrical systems and CMMS Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and nights on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Previous experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
• Basic welding or fabrication skills.
