Job summary

PEMEX Deer Park seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for the Central Machine Shop to lead a team in safe, timely, cost-effective repair of rotating and ancillary mechanical equipment on site.

You will supervise hourly machinists and coordinate with outside shops, manufacturers, and vendors to support refinery operations and business needs. Strong leadership, hands-on shop experience, and a continuous‑improvement mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in machining, rotating-equipment repair, industrial maintenance, or related mechanical repair environment.
• 5+ years of supervisory, leadership, lead-person, or significant work-coordination experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
• Experience supervising union-represented employees is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible safety leadership and maintain a safe, professional shop environment.
• Lead daily shop tailgate meetings and communicate work priorities, risks, constraints, and expectations.
• Supervise, coach, and develop machinists and the Outside Shops Coordinator.
• Plan, prioritize, assign, and monitor inside shop work based on plant needs and deadlines.
• Oversee teardown, inspection, machining, repair, assembly, testing, and documentation.
• Coordinate repairs with outside shops and vendors while ensuring compliance with standards.
