Job summary

PEMEX Deer Park is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Central Machine Shop to lead safe, timely repairs of rotating equipment and coordinate work performed in-house and by outside shops.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on shop experience, and the ability to plan, prioritize, and document repairs, ensuring quality and adherence to standards while collaborating with maintenance, engineering, procurement, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a machine shop, rotating-equipment repair shop, or similar industrial setting.
• Practical knowledge of pumps and rotating equipment.
• Experience in teardown/inspection/repair of rotating equipment or machining parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and maintain a safe, clean shop environment.
• Lead daily shop tailgate meetings and communicate priorities and expectations.
• Supervise machinists and the Outside Shops Coordinator.
• Set expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork; recognize high performance and address underperformance.
• Plan and monitor inside shop work based on plant needs and deadlines.
• Oversee teardown, inspection, machining, repair, assembly, testing, and documentation.
• Coordinate repairs with outside shops and ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor outside-shop performance on safety, quality, cost, schedule, and communication.
• Maintain visibility of equipment status, repair scope, and costs; report updates to stakeholders.
