Job summary

The role requires at least five years in machining with supervisory experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to read drawings and schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of machining or machine shop experience with production equipment, tooling, setup, and troubleshooting.
• Three years of direct supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read work instructions, schedules, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, word processing, and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily machine shop operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity expectations.
• Plan and assign work based on priorities, capacity, materials, staffing, and skills.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Coach and develop employees; manage performance and attendance.
• Monitor production performance and address equipment, tooling, material, or process issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance to support safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain records and communicate results to leadership.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in safety, quality, reliability, and productivity.
