Position Summary

The IH&S Oak Harbor Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment. The supervisor oversees daily activities related to support, production, and problem-solving within their area.

Education & Experience Requirements

Demonstrated success in a manufacturing environment with at least three (3) years of increasing responsibility and leadership experience.

Essential Duties

• Support and develop direct reports
• Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are met/exceeded
• Conduct routine 1:1 meetings, provide coaching, and feedback
• Adhere to company policies
• Interview and train new hires
• Experience with CNC and manual machining operations
• Optimize resources and develop process improvements for efficiency and quality
• Knowledge of CNC programming and CAD software
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings
• Apply continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
• Facilitate daily management to drive engagement and improvements
• Identify and resolve obstacles and inefficiencies
• Assess skills and training needs
• Manage staffing and daily priorities
• Address safety concerns proactively
• Support production team during shifts
• Implement visual management for scheduling and stability
• Manage learning ladder programs
• Promote teamwork and collaboration
• Perform weekly cycle counts
• Investigate and resolve work order, material, quality, and inventory issues
• Handle disciplinary actions professionally

Physical Requirements

Attention to detail, visual acuity, communication skills, mobility, decision-making ability, and travel capability.

Other Requirements

• Knowledge of lean and continuous improvement principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and JDE (preferred)
• Strong team and leadership skills
• Technical aptitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English communication
