Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Set-Up Technician to support production in the Machine Shop. You will set up, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment to keep operations running smoothly. Shift: 1st shift, Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:00pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years' experience preferred in a machine shop or similar setting.
• Understanding of equipment used to support production.
• Ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good math skills and reasoning.
• Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment as needed to support operations.
• Documentation of production, maintenance, and QC audits performed.
• Complete 1st piece inspection prior to release for production.
• Make professional and lasting modifications and repairs to existing equipment.
• Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees.
• Relay pertinent product and quality related information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers, in both written and verbal forms.
• Organizing and maintaining the order and cleanliness of equipment, storage areas and the Machine Shop as a whole.
• Other duties and projects as determined by production and business needs.
