Job summary

Randstad USA in Union City, CA, is looking for a skilled maintenance technician to service CNC machines and keep production lines running at peak performance.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and manage parts via CMMS, while operating forklifts and adhering to OSHA safety standards. The role requires a High School diploma and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3+ years in industrial equipment maintenance, specifically with CNC machines.
• Technical Aptitude: Read schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
• Hands-On Skills: Proficient with specialized test equipment, hand/power tools, and basic fabrication or shop tools.
• Safety & Equipment Operation: OSHA guidelines, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and comfortable operating forklifts or scissor lifts.

Responsibilities

• <b>Preventative Maintenace &amp; Repair:</b>Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of CNC machines.
• <b>Component-Level Diagnostics:</b> Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems down to individual components to minimize machine downtime.
• <b>Proactive &amp; Preventative Care:</b> Execute systematic PM schedules, balancing routine upkeep with emergency repairs and new equipment installations.
• <b>Parts &amp; CMMS Management:</b> Sourcing needed replacement components through trusted vendors and tracking work orders accurately in the CMMS.
• <b>Facility &amp; Utility Support:</b> Assist with broader shop floor equipment and utility maintenance as needed, operating support machinery like forklifts, hoists, and scissor lifts.
• <b>Safety &amp; Team Leadership:</b> Maintain strict OSHA/LOTO safety standards while fostering a supportive, team-first environment on the floor.
