Job summary

System One is seeking an experienced, hands-on Machinist to support our internal machine shop and engineering teams in South Plainfield, NJ. This contract-to-hire role may be full-time or part-time, and onsite work is required.

You will operate machine shop equipment, read drawings, use precision tools, and collaborate with engineers to develop machining solutions while maintaining a safe, organized shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on machining experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated machining skills.
• Ability to independently read engineering drawings and fabricate parts to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Machinist certification, apprenticeship, or technical/vocational training preferred.

Job Title: Machine Shop Machinist

Location: South Plainfield, NJ

Type: Contract To Hire

Compensation: $24 to $28/hour, depending on experience

Work Model: Onsite

Hours: Monday through Friday (9AM to 5PM)
