Job summary

Schaeffler Group USA Inc. seeks an operator/inspector to set up and program machines, run test sequences, and ensure quality in a manufacturing setting in South Carolina. The role supports ramp-up, maintenance, and documentation while enforcing PPE and safety rules.

The candidate will read blueprints, operate complex machinery, and identify defects with good visual accuracy. Valid work authorization in the US is required for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to use instruments for measuring and to identify defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communications in English.
• Ability to operate complex machinery for use in inspection.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program operating machines with accuracy and test sequences.
• Oversee ramp-up of machines after setup and assist Operators.
• Support maintenance to prevent downtime and inspect machines.
• Follow procedures and maintain accurate records and tracking.
• Check finished product and submit for approval.
• Follow safety and PPE rules at all times.
