Job summary

Reliable Safety and Flow Corporation in Columbia, PA is seeking a dedicated Set-up, Repair, and Tooling technician for the machine shop. The role focuses on setting up, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to ensure parts meet specifications and output targets.

Machine Setup, Repair, and Tooling

Department: Manufacturing - Machine Shop

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Columbia, PA - Plant

Compensation: $23.50 / hour


Description

As Set-up, Repair, and Tooling in the Machine shop, you have the opportunity to set up, monitor, and maintain machines and equipment used in production lines. You may be responsible for monitoring machine output, changing tools, and training of production operators.


How You Will Help
  • Setup machinery to produce a part that meets product specifications and output requirements.
  • Monitor machine output; make adjustments as required to achieve product specifications and output requirements.
  • Change tools as required to maintain production of parts that meet product specifications.
  • Training of production operators, process auditors and other setup personnel.
  • Monitor tool usage including damage and wear.
  • Follow all ASC work instructions and procedures that apply to the job function being performed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned. Employee must be able to obtain a tow motor license and successfully pass LOTO and confined space training.


What You Will Bring
  • Accurate use of measuring instruments including calipers, dial indicators, fitting alignment equipment, L-1 thread gage and 6-step gage.
  • Able to read and comprehend product and equipment drawings.
  • Apply basic mathematics to relate measured dimensions to product or process specifications.
  • Understanding of technical terms related to machinery and machining processes.
  • Able to read, comprehend and follow written product specifications, work instructions and procedures.

Compensation
  • Starting pay rate $22.81 plus a $2.00 shift differential for 2nd shift
  • Standard shift Monday-Friday
  • Offered Over Time
  • Sundays off
