Job summary

Erodex is seeking a Machine Operator/Setup Operator to join its precision graphite tooling and aerospace manufacturing team in the United States. The role focuses on operating CNC machining centres, performing batch inspections, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of setter/operator experience on 3- and/or 5-axis machines, with Haas, Hurco, or Fanuc controls, and the ability to read drawings and edit CNC programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as setter/operator on 3- and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
• Experience on Haas, Hurco, or Fanuc control interfaces.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances.
• G Code troubleshooting capability.

Responsibilities

• Running CNC Machining centres using proven processes.
• Carry out batch inspection and prepare goods for shipment.
• Working with senior engineer to develop and improve on site process.
• Liaise with UK office to provide feedback and suggestions for Continuous Improvement.

Machine Operator/Setup Operator

Erodex is an independent family-owned precision engineering company with over 40 years of experience in the precision graphite tooling and aerospace sector. The role is to be a member of the team at our new precision manufacturing subsidiary, where Erodex has established a new graphite machining facility to support its recent accusation of a seven figure 3-year contract to a leading aerospace OEM.

Ideal candidates will be self-motivating and have strong technical skills in the use of CNC, Manual and be capable to work on their own initiative. An ability to also edit and improve CNC programs would be preferable.

Responsibilities:

• Running CNC Machining centres using proven processes
• Carry out batch inspection and prepare goods for shipment
• Working with senior engineer to develop and improve on site process
• Liaise with UK office to provide feedback and suggestions for Continuous Improvement

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a setter / operator using 3 and/or axis CNC machines
• Experience on 3 and/or 5 axis control interfaces such as Haas, Hurco, and Fanuc
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot G Code
• Able to read Engineering drawings and understand tolerances
• Good organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple jobs at once.
• CAD/CAM skills are a plus but not a necessity
