This position is essential in the ability of EJ Reynolds Company to meet scheduled production goals and to produce high-quality projects that meet and exceed customer expectations. The CNC Machinist is responsible for basic programming and operation of computer numerical control (CNC) machines, troubleshooting, reading, and interpreting blueprints, tooling changes, and inspection of machined parts.
Machine Operation 85%: Program machinery for operation according to instructions, monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops, translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production, inspect parts to specifications making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications, and inspect 1st article parts by using hand tools.
Machine Operation responsibilities also include communicating with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and material.
Machine Maintenance 15%: Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs. Conduct regular machine assessments, monitor machine oil levels, and clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area.
