Job summary

Erodex is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join the 5-Axis Cell at our Richmond, Virginia site.

You will set up and operate Hurco, Mazak and ROEDER machines, perform conversational programming, and produce precision components to tight tolerances using WinMax.

Candidates must have extensive experience with 5-axis machining, read engineering drawings, and verify parts with precision measuring tools; graphite experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in 5-axis machining.
• Experience programming or setting Hurco controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Capable of maintaining sub 0.05 mm tolerances.
• Experience with graphite machining is advantageous.
• Experience with multiple 5-axis machines is required.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate 5 Axis Hurco, Mazak and ROEDER using setting sheets.
• Conversational program, set up and operate Hurco 5-AXIS to produce precise components to specification using WinMax software at the console.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Check your own work using a range of measuring equipment.
• Completing one offs and batch work.
• Ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.

Requirements:

• Must have a min. of 10 years of machining experience, Aerospace desirable.
• Experience of setting, operating and conversational programming on Hurco milling machines is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• An ability to work with minimal supervision to Sub 0.05mm tolerances is essential.
• Experience of 5 Axis Machining is a must have
• Experience of working with graphite is advantageous.
• A competitive rate of pay which is negotiable dependant on experience.
