SURGE Staffing is seeking a Machine Set-Up Operator to join our Ohio manufacturing team. This role centers on machine setup and changeovers, working with dies and tooling, and preparing equipment for production to ensure smooth operation.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of troubleshooting and adjusting equipment while following precise work instructions and safety procedures. Monday–Thursday schedule with early hours.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on machine setup or machine changeover experience required.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with dies, tooling, or machine components.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare manufacturing machinery for production
• Perform machine changeovers between different products or production runs
• Safely disassemble and reassemble machine components as needed
• Install, remove, and work with dies and related tooling
• Make machine adjustments to maintain proper production specifications
• Inspect equipment and tooling before and after setup
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and setup issues
• Ensure machines are running properly and efficiently
• Follow established safety procedures and production requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–3:00 PM; Friday, 5:30 AM–9:30 AM
