Job Type: Full-time

Chesapeake Automotive Equipment is seeking a skilled technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of shop equipment used in automotive and heavy‑duty service environments. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, solving mechanical issues, and working directly with customers in the field.

We supply and service a wide range of equipment including vehicle lifts, air systems, and specialty repair tools for commercial clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and service automotive shop equipment at customer locations
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete necessary repairs
  • Evaluate job sites to determine equipment needs and service requirements
  • Complete service calls independently while maintaining strong communication with clients
  • Document work completed, parts used, and recommended follow‑up services
  • Follow safety standards and company procedures at all times
  • Maintain tools, inventory, and service vehicle readiness

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with automotive shop equipment such as lifts and compressors
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
