Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Production Operator for the 2nd shift to run and monitor equipment such as blenders and mixers, following daily production schedules.

Responsibilities include operating equipment to specification, recording data, and assisting with setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure output quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Three months of MachineOperator experience required.
• Able to push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds repeatedly; some areas require up to 75 pounds.
• Must stand on concrete floors up to 10 hours per day; work in 40–75 degree environments.

Position Description:

Position Summary:

Position is responsible for operating production machine equipment such as Blenders, Mixers, and other equipment as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret daily production schedule
• Operate assigned production equipment per product specifications
• Determine equipment adjustments and material requirements
• Compile and record production data and reports on volume of production
• Prepare equipment for production and test runs
• Perform troubleshooting and preventing maintenance
• Operate and observe equipment operation to detect work piece defects or equipment malfunction, and measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy
• Ensure work area is clean at all times
• Record keeping and attention to detail
• Ensure work area is clean at all time
• Follow department standards

Requirements:

• Three months of MachineOperator experience must be listed in job history
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds repeatedly during shift
• Some areas must require repetitive lifting up to 75 pounds during Shift
• Must stand on hard concrete floors for up to 10 hours per day
• Must work in cold/hot temperatures ranging from 40-75 degrees on a routine basis
• Must work in wet and/or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas.
• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, and pinching, climbing stairs and/or ladders
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment
• Wet and/or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas
• Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification.
• Knowledge of basic food processing compliance, FDA, USDA, and EPA is preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends and other duties as assigned by Management
