Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a 2nd shift operator to run production machinery and ensure continuous flow of product. You will set up and break down equipment, monitor and adjust settings, and report maintenance needs to your supervisor. Safety and Tyson policies must be followed at all times.

Applicants must have at least 3 months of machine-operator experience, be prepared for the 180-day wait rule since last termination, and comply with the 3X rule. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Job Details

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Pay is $19.45 per hour PLUS an additional $2 per hour shift differential. Responsible for setting up machine and/or breaking down machine.

• Potential laceration and puncture hazards associated with production tools and equipment

Safety Expectations

• Follow all Tyson Foods safety procedures and workplace policies.


• Use designated handrails and walkways.


• Never walk on drain covers.


• Wear required PPE at all times.


• Perform stretching activities before and during the shift to help reduce repetitive-motion injuries.


• Report unsafe conditions immediately to leadership.

Training Requirements

• Successful completion of On-the-Job Training (OJT).
