Job summary

Priority Personnel is seeking a Machine Operator for a manufacturing company located in San Marcos, TX.

Pay rate is $26.00/hr with a $2.00/hr premium for night shifts. Work schedule features rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00pm–6:00am. You will set up machines, monitor and adjust settings, feed materials, inspect parts, test operation, and keep daily logs while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
• Understanding of production procedures, manufacturing specifications, etc.
• Basic computer skills for e-mail, record keeping and to access job related work instructions
• Ability to read and write English.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production order
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
• Feed raw material or parts to manual or semi-automated machine
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Fix and/or report issues that might occur during the shift
• Verify output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units and/or final products
• Maintain daily logs/records
• Follow all safety rules, assure others follow safety rules and correct or report any safety issues immediately
