Job summary

Priority Personnel is seeking a Machine Operator for a manufacturing company in San Marcos, TX. This role involves setting up, operating, and inspecting high-speed machinery with a rotating 12-hour shift from 6:00pm to 6:00am.

Pay is $26.00/hr plus a $2.00/hr premium for nights. Responsibilities include calibrating, feeding materials, recording outputs, and maintaining safety and quality records on daily logs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer).
• Understanding of production procedures and manufacturing specs.
• Basic computer skills for email, record keeping, and accessing instructions.
• Ability to read and write English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production order.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed).
• Feed raw materials or parts to manual or semi-automatic machines.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools.
• Test operation of machines periodically.
• Fix and/or report issues during the shift.
• Verify output to spot machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved/defective units and final products.
• Maintain daily logs/records; follow and enforce safety rules.
