Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for operating a weld machine on a production line welding a variety of pipe while meeting daily production goals.

S.A. Comunale, with 12 locations across Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and West Virginia, has been a leader in mechanical, fire protection, and HVAC services for nearly 100 years. Shift Details

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:45 pm - 2:15 am. Mandatory overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints/sketches and prepare materials accordingly.
• Adjust weld parameters and machine settings to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Inspect welds for non-conformance, missing welds, and perform repairs or rework as necessary, alerting others if needed.
• Perform daily machine maintenance.
• Inspect pipes for quality issues and proper end preparation.
• Utilize strong math skills regularly.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of welding experience, with skill level to obtain a 2G certification.
• Basic computer skills required.

Skills and Certifications

• Ability to read tape measures, perform simple math calculations, and read blueprints.
