Job Title: General Laborer - Bundler - 2nd Shift

The Bundler works alongside other fabrication shop employees to offload pipe, inspect pipe, and prepare pipe to be assembled and banded, while adhering to blueprints and sketches provided. This position is represented by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #219. This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with a focus on detail and accuracy.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

1. Offload pipe daily and transport to the correct location.
2. Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures such as dye penetrant testing on welds, inspecting grooves, and preparing and painting rusty or welded material, alerting supervisors of discrepancies.
3. Assemble/make-on couplings and fittings as applicable, ensuring they are assembled to print/sketch.
4. Review job information sheets, technical instructions, and process jobs accordingly.
5. Operate pneumatic tensioner and crimper when applicable.
6. Input and read information in the computer system to perform jobs accurately.
7. Utilize strong math skills frequently.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements include:

• 2+ years of related work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills.
• Technical or trade school training is a plus.
• Tow motor experience is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
