Olympic Steel is seeking a Shotblast Machine Operator for the Plymouth, MN facility. This on-site role handles shotblast operations, ensuring quality and timely delivery while maintaining safety and cleanliness on the production floor.

The position requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to work 3:00pm–11:00pm on weekdays. Prior laser operation and crane experience are advantageous, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Job Description

The Shotblast Operator is responsible for satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity. They perform various production support duties as assigned by supervisor, as well as execute general housekeeping for warehouse. They will be responsible for operating electronic grinders to smooth and/or finish parts prior to and/or following processing.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.50 per hour

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience with laser operations is strongly preferred.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings.
• Working knowledge of general computer programs is preferred.
• Ability to work on 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 11:00pm, M-F.
