Job Title: Injection Mold Machine Operator

IPEX, one of North America's leading providers of advanced plastic piping systems, is seeking an Injection Mold Machine Operator at our Molding Plant in Pineville, NC. Job Summary

The successful candidate will support injection molding machinery and facility maintenance activities, ensuring safety, product quality, production efficiency, housekeeping, and cost control to meet plant goals.

Principal Responsibilities

• Accurately use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
• Work with tolerances of 0.001" or smaller.
• Repair, rebuild, modify existing tooling with limited supervision.
• Replace worn mold components and determine if replacements are necessary.
• Polish tooling, repair parting lines, and fix shutoffs.
• Create all types of injection mold tooling from cores, cavities, and strippers, with or without drawings.
• Develop solutions to problems and suggest improvements for tool robustness and quality.
• Manufacture mold tooling components with limited supervision.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience or exposure to machining, preferably with injection molds, or currently enrolled in machining courses.
• High School diploma or higher.
• Ability to read, write, and perform advanced mathematics.
• Ability to read blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of shop fabrication equipment is preferred.
• Understanding of tooling and machine design.
• Must pass a background check.

Working Conditions

• Requires good mobility, routine walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Use of hand tools.
• Fast-paced environment requiring sensory attention.
