Job summary

AtWork! Asheville is seeking machine operators for the Central Asheville, NC production team. The 1st shift runs 7am–3pm with a pay rate of $18.00/hr and on-the-job training, advancement opportunities, and full benefits.

Open to entry-level through experienced applicants, the role emphasizes dependability, detail-orientation, and the ability to learn. Responsibilities include operating machines, ensuring smooth production flow, maintaining safety, and accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• Experience: Entry-level welcome; basic mechanical skills preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Skills: Strong computer skills, basic math and reading ability, attention to detail, multitasking, and good communication; ability to distinguish colors required.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Prepare, start, and monitor machines; load materials and follow established procedures to maintain smooth production flow.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine machine maintenance and diagnose and resolve basic malfunctions; occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.
• Documentation & Housekeeping: Complete required paperwork accurately; clean and restock work area at the end of each shift.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols; maintain awareness of moving parts, chemicals, and other environmental hazards.
