Job summary

Henderson Products, Inc. in Manchester, IA is hiring a Fabricator for the night shift (3:30pm–1:30am). You will set up and operate fabrication machines including brake presses, lasers, drills, and saws, following SOPs and blueprints to manufacture parts to specification.

Required are basic shop math skills, blueprint reading, and the ability to read a tape measure. You will maintain safety standards and participate in 5S activities while contributing to a team with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic shop math and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Calculate tonnage for punching and shearing.
• Ability to identify various types and gauges of steel.
• Ability to operate overhead hoist.

Join Henderson Products Inc., located in Manchester, IA! We are the North American leader in the design, manufacture and up fit of multi‑purpose equipment for heavy‑duty work trucks specializing in snow and ice control and “Keeping America’s Roads Safe!” Night Shift - 3:30pm to 1:30am, 20-minute paid lunch. Flexible start times available if needed.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for the set up and operation of fabrication machines (Brake Press, Lasers, Drills, Saws) in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOP) and guidelines. Fabricators must have the ability to understand blueprints to fabricate parts to blueprint specifications using the appropriate machine and process. Performs designated maintenance functions, assumes ownership for quality, participates in training, performs daily 5S activities, works as a team, and maintains all safety standards.

• Knowledge of basic shop math, ability to read a tap measure and utilize a protractor
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
• Calculate tonnage for punching and sheering
• Ability to identify various types and gauges of steel
• Ability to operate overhead hoist

(Preferred)

• 1,000 hours of trade school
• Fabrication experience

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, lifting, and standing
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
